Loney, RN, with patient. |
Mid Coast Hospital has a long and proud
history dating back to 1910, when Eva A.
Adams, MD, began seeing and treating patients
at the O’Brien Mansion in Brunswick,
Maine. As the Regional Memorial Hospital
(incorporated in 1960), we merged with Bath
Memorial Hospital in 1991. Mid Coast Hospital
is Maine's most modern regional hospital,
having opened in a completely new facility
with 76 beds in 2001. A new Emergency Department,
expanded Diagnostics Center and an additional
18 medical/surgical beds are scheduled to
be in service by 2010. We are an independent,
community, non-profit hospital accredited
by the Joint Commission. Our active
medical staff represents 30 primary care
and specialty areas. The hospital serves
100,000 residents in 20 communities.
Our nursing staff is knowledgeable, energetic,
caring and among the best you will find
in any hospital. They are the movers and
shakers who keep the clinical departments
running smoothly, while delivering top notch
patient care.
