How Patients & Their Families Can Help Improve Quality

  • Be informed about your care. Ask questions and speak up.

  • Be sure to bring your medications or a list of medications to every appointment or hospital visit. If you need assistance making a list, we will help—just ask.

  • Ask us to wash our hands, wash your hands, and have visitors wash their hands. Wash frequently and often--always after using the toilet, eating or any contact with a patient’s environment.

  • Have your visitors stay home if they are sick. We have email for patients so you can stay in touch.

  • Tell us if you are scared, hopeless, or do not feel safe…we can help you find help.

  • Please, we urge you, report any and all safety concerns to a nurse or contact Barbara McCue, RN, at 373-6377 or bmccue@midcoasthealth.com.
